Adrian Mitchell (1932-2008) wrote his poem 'To Whom it May Concern' in 1964. He delivered a stirring rendition at the International Poetry Incarnation at the Albert Hall, on June 11th, 1965. The event was filmed by Peter Whitehead for his documentary Wholly Communion. Mitchell's segment is a particular highpoint. He went onto perform the poem at readings throughout his career and would often use the last lines as an opportuinity to launch into an angry, improvised 'remix'.
